The Celebration
Where and when is the celebration taking place?
The celebration shall be taking place in Casa do Ribeirinho, located in Matosinhos, at 3:00pm (for more details, please consult the ‘Travel’ tab). This will involve the ceremony, drinks/reception, wedding breakfast and, of course, dancing!
Are children welcome?
We realise that it can be difficult to get childcare for younger children so the venue has a babysitting service that will ensure they are in good hands throughout the day/different events. In addition, the venue has a dedicated as well as supervised play area to keep your little ones entertained, allowing you to immerse yourselves in the celebrations!
We hope for your understanding that we would like to keep the ceremony adult-only (older children above 12 years old also welcomed), to avoid any disruptions and maintain the intimacy of the moment.
What is the dress code?
The dress code for the wedding is formal:
For the Men: lounge suits or, alternatively, if you have a kilt, feel free to throw this on;
For the Ladies: formal occasion dress code and, in addition, you may want to bring a cardigan or shawl/pashmina/wrap for the evening;
For the Children: a smart dress code, with some warm clothing for the evening.
Wedding gifts
We have decided not to have a wedding list as we realise that most of you shall be travelling from abroad to celebrate our special day with us. Instead, we would prefer that you use the money to enjoy yourselves and take full advantage of what the beautiful city of Porto has to offer, particularly if you are able to stay for a long weekend.
For those of you already in Portugal, we couldn’t ask for a more precious gift than that of your time and having you present at our wedding!
